Goodbye Firefox ( for now )
May 11, 2007 – 2:55 pmOk, Firefox is good, but im just tired of it beeing so heavy and slow some times. so, what am I using? Opera and Epiphany-Browser.
Ok the disadvantage of Opera is the QT interface in a GTK environment. But its faster than FF, so what the heck :p
Epiphany Im using has the default system browser, used to open web links from xchat or pidgin ( for example )
Firefox need a Big memory clean up.

Firefox is slow on Ubuntu, but I was surprised to see that it is much lighter and faster on Suse.
Like you, on Ubuntu, I switched to Opera but on Suse, I don’t see any difference in speed and memory usage.

Same here, switched to Epiphany two days ago. Firefox was simply too memory consuming.
I don’t like Opera, though.

I don’t find Firefox slow at all! Maybe its due to some bad extension code you might be using.
