Just a couple of others to add:
Aptitude
try to type in console: “apt-get moo” and see what happens. Then, try with “aptitude moo”. Disappointed ? Don’t worry: just add the option -v and, if still not satisfied, use the option “-vv” instead and go on adding v (”-vvv”, “-vvvv”, etc) until you get what you are looking for.
Python
start python interpreter and then type
import this
Have fun
